The Board of Directors of Lake Valley Fire Protection District engaged Ridgeline Municipal Strategies to perform a study to determine what the District should charge for mitigation fees. The study, along with associated documents, will be made available to the public for inspection between 9:00am and 4:00pm at 2211 Keetak St. South Lake Tahoe, CA beginning February 26, 2026 and can be viwed below. The Board will hold a public hearing at 4:00pm on Thursday March 12, 2026 for constituents to provide input on the mitigation fee study and proposed changes. The hearing will occur in open session during the Board’s regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 2211 Keetak St. South Lake Tahoe, CA. Any person may appear and be heard during the public comment section of the public hearing.

The District LHMP is available for public comment. The LHMP is a long-term plan focused on identifying mitigation strategies, local policies and actions that can be implemented to reduce specifically identified risks and future losses to constituents.
